Led by association president Bill Collier this session will cover an introduction to GHORBA, the benefits of mountain biking for our kids, for safety, health, and home values, current status of new and potential trails in Houston-we are booming, local challenges and obstacles for trail expansion and the bright future. Learn what challenges the Houston area faces as well as possible solutions.

Bill Collier is a Houston native who graduated from Texas A&M in 1995 with a degree in Industrial Distribution. In the professional world he has severed in various leadership capacities and currently is the Global Engineering Manager for Pentair’s Thermal Heating Division which builds heating systems for the petrochemical industry. In his private life he has been an avid endurance athlete with two Ironman completions. His love of nature and exercise led him to the sport of mountain biking where he became heavily involved in advocacy work in 2012. He has been a trail steward of the 100 acre wood trail system, served on the board of GHORBA as the advocacy director, and is currently the President of GHORBA. He is also a Bayou Land Conservancy member, husband, and father of a 12 year old.
